Manufactured home and towable RV builder Skyline Corp. reports its RV-related operating earnings increased 12% during its fiscal year 2002, which ended May 31.
In its Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Form 10-K, Elkhart, Ind.-based Skyline reports its fiscal year 2002 RV operating earnings totaled $925,000, compared with $824,000 earned during its fiscal year 2001.
Meanwhile, Skyline’s fiscal year 2002 RV sales revenue increased 1% to $111.5 million, compared with $110.2 million a year earlier.
Skyline clearly bucked the trend as far as its manufactured housing business was concerned. The company’s fiscal 2002 manufactured home operating earnings climbed 42% higher to $19.1 million while its manufactured home sales revenue slipped 4% lower to $339.3 million.
Skyline also reported to the SEC that it built 6,126 travel trailers, 1,550 fifth-wheels and 365 park models during calendar year 2001.
In calendar year 2000, Skyline produced 6,773 travel trailers, 1,392 fifth-wheels and 403 park models.
