RVillage founder Curtis Coleman

RVillage.com, a popular social online platform for RVers, announced it will be holding “RVillage Rally One – the Connected Road,” at a campground in Elkhart, Ind., on May 17-21.

“This will be different from other RV rallies,” said Curtis Coleman, the website’s founder and CEO. “RVillage is all about connecting RVing travelers with each other. Our rally will bring people together so they can share their experiences and adventures in person, rather than virtually.”

Entertainment at the rally will include nightly fireside entertainment around the “Firebirds” — massive steel sculptures which are filled with firewood and burn for hours. Rally guests will be treated to tours of the RV/MH Hall of Fame and can select RV factory tours at manufacturers Jayco Inc., NeXus, Keystone RV Co., Thor Industries Inc., Grand Design RV Co. and Heartland RV. There will also be daily informative seminars, a commercial exhibit area and fun events like wine tasting, a dog show and ice cream social.

Rally guests choose their own “virtual village” from Geeks, Boomers, Big Rigs, Boondockers and RVillagers, and each group will interact with their own activities throughout the rally.

Coleman founded a beta version of RVillage.com in 2014. Since that time, it has grown to include nearly 100,000 members. Once RVers join and create a profile, RVillagers can find other travelers, based on their current location, at any destination along their route and remain connected through geo mapping technology and social interactive tools. Active special interest groups within RVillage such as full-time RVers, boondockers, snowbirds and others communicate with one another on a regular basis.

“Every two to three minutes, someone joins RVillage,” says Coleman. “We’re the fastest growing RV owners’ organization in the world.”

RV owners interested in attending the RVillage rally should log on to the organization’s website at https://www.rvillage.store/rally for more information. A limited amount of exhibit space is still available and may be reserved by contacting Sandy Ellingson at 706-593-6448 or email [email protected].
