Year-over-year Canadian motorhome registrations declined 16.5% in November while falling 11.8% for the first 11 months of 2016, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).
Thor Industries Inc. led the Canadian motorized segment year-to-date, capturing a 37.5% market share while Forest River Inc. was No. 2 with a 35% share followed by Winnebago Industries Inc. (13.6%).
Class A registrations retreated 21.4% for the month and 26% year-to-date. Thor led the segment for the 11 months with a 33.9% market share followed by Forest River (21.5%), Newmar Corp (12.8%) and REV Recreation Group (12.5%).
In the Class C sector, sales fell 8.6% in November while edging down 0.3% year-to-date. Forest River led the category with a 43.1% market share while Thor held a 39.7% share and Winnebago notched 14.6%.
