Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales climbed 41% in December while year-end totals edged up 1.5%, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader for the full year, capturing a 33.1% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (19.7%), Winnebago Industries Inc. (16.5%) and Jayco Inc. (11.2%).

December Class A registrations grew 17.9% while totals for 2014 rose 3.8%. Thor was No. 1 for the 12 months with a 21.4% market share, ahead of Forest River (20.7%), Fleetwood RV Inc. (17.6%) and Winnebago (14.6%).

In the Class C segment, December sales grew 100% on low volume while registrations dipped o.6% for the full year. Forest River led the category with a 44.4% share followed by Thor and Winnebago, each with an 18.2% share. Jayco Inc. garnered 16.2% of the market.
