Editor’s Note: The data for November Canadian motorhome sales in the New Brunswick province was incomplete and are not included in totals. To offer a fair comparison the New Brunswick totals for 2013 have also been removed.
Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales grew 4.1% in November and 1.6% for the first 11 months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.
Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 33.2% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (19.9%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (16.6%).
November Class A registrations edged up 3% while year-to-date sales grew 4.2%. Thor was No. 1 through November with a 21.6% market share, ahead of Forest River (20.7%) and Fleetwood RV Inc. (17.8%).
In the Class C segment, November sales gained 6.25% from a year ago but dipped o.7% for the 11 months. Forest River led the category with a 44.3% share followed by Thor (18.3%), Winnebago (18.2%) and Jayco Inc. (16.1%).
