Year-over-year Canadian motorhome registrations plummeted 34.1% in June and 25.7% for the first six months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 25.4% market share, with Thor Industries Inc. holding a 23.2% share and Winnebago Industries Inc. 22.8%.

Class A registrations declined 16.3% in June and 13.6% year-to-date. Thor was No. 1 for the six months with a 25.7% market share followed by Forest River (23.1%), Winnebago (17%) and Allied Recreation Group (11.9%).

In the Class C segment, sales dropped 48.2% for the month, and 35% through June. Winnebago led the category with a 28.7% share followed by Forest River (27.7%), Thor (20.7%) and Jayco (17.2%).
