Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales slid 9.5% for the first five months of 2019, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader through May, capturing a 42.8% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (42.4%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (5.5%).

Class A registrations fell 15.5% for the five months. Thor was No. 1 in the category with a 39.7% market share, ahead of Forest River (20%) and REV Recreation Group (11.7%).

In the Class C segment, sales declined 7.5% through May. Forest River held the top spot with a 49.8% market share followed by Thor (43.2%) and Winnebago (4.7%).
