Editor’s Note: The data for September Canadian motorhome sales in the New Brunswick province was incomplete and are not included in totals. To offer a fair comparison the New Brunswick totals for 2013 have also been removed.

Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales grew 4.3% in September and 1.2% for the first nine months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 33.9% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (19.7%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (16.9%).

September Class A registrations edged down 1.6% while year-to-date sales grew 4.3%. Forest River was No. 1 through September with a 22% market share, ahead of Thor (21.2%) and Fleetwood RV Inc. (17.5%).

In the Class C segment, September sales gained 12.6% from a year ago but fell 1.2% for the nine months. Forest River led the category with a 43.8% share while Thor and Winnebago both captured 18.5% of the market. Jayco Inc. was third with a 16.1% share.
