Editor’s Note: The data for October Canadian motorhome sales in the New Brunswick province was incomplete and are not included in totals. To offer a fair comparison the New Brunswick totals for 2013 have also been removed.
Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales grew 4.9% in October and 1.5% for the first 10 months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.
Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 33.4% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (19.7%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (16.8%).
October Class A registrations edged were up 3.8% while year-to-date sales grew 4.3%. Thor was No. 1 through October with a 21.3% market share, ahead of Forest River (21%) and Fleetwood RV Inc. (17.7%).
In the Class C segment, October sales gained 6.8% from a year ago but dipped o.8% for the 10 months. Forest River led the category with a 44.1% share followed by Winnebago (18.4%), Thor (18.3%) and Jayco Inc. (16%).
