Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales rose 34.5% in April, boosted by a 107.5% jump in Class C registrations, while sales were up 22.2% for the four months.

Statistical Surveys Inc. reported that data for the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario were incomplete.

Thor Industries Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader through April, capturing a 33.8% market share, followed by Winnebago Industries Inc. (13%) and Forest River Inc. (12.8%).

Class A registrations declined 13.8% from the year prior in April and 1.3% year-to-date. Thor was No. 1 in Canadian Class A sales for the first four months with a 20.9% market share, ahead of Fleetwood RV Inc. (16.7%) and Winnebago (15.1%).

In the Class C segment, sales increased 107.6% for April and 57.7% for the four months. Thor held the No. 1 spot year-to-date with a 46% market share followed by Forest River (15.2%) and Jayco (13.4%).
