Boosted by Class C sales, year-over-year Canadian motorhome registrations soared 36.8% in March and were up 10.1% in the first quarter, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 26.4% market share, ahead of Winnebago Industries Inc. (25.4%) and Thor Industries Inc. (21.7%).

Class A registrations fell 5.3% in March and 11.9% for the three months. Forest River was No. 1 in year-to-date sales with a 23.6% market share followed by Thor (22.1%) and Winnebago (18.6%).

In the Class C segment, sales soared 102% for the month and 42.2% through March. Winnebago led the category with a 31.6% share followed by Forest River (29%) and Thor (21.3%).
