Class C sales drove year-over-year Canadian motorhome registrations to a 109.7% jump in February while the segment gained 76.4% for the first two months of 2017, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).
Thor Industries Inc. led the Canadian motorized segment year-to-date, capturing a 55.4% market share while Forest River Inc. was No. 2 with a 20.4% share followed by Winnebago Industries Inc. (15.3%).
Class A registrations dipped 3.4% for the month and 6.8% year-to-date. Thor led the segment for the two months with a 39% market share followed by Forest River (24.4%) and Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (14.6%).
In the Class C sector, sales climbed 209.1% in February with 102 units shipped and 157.8% year-to-date. Thor led the category with a 61.2% market share while Winnebago and Forest River each captured 19%.
