February motorhome retail registrations rose 7.3% compared to the same period a year ago while sales for the first two months were up 6.7%.

According to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader through February with a 27.3% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. with a 23.2% share and Winnebago Industries Inc. owning a 19.4% share.

Sales in the Class A motorhome market dipped 3% in February, but edged up 2.3% year-to-date. Thor led the segment with a 24.6% market share followed by Winnebago (18.9%), Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (15.7%) and Forest River (15.1%).

Class C registrations grew 21.8% during February and 12.9% for the first two months. Forest River was the segment leader through February with a 33.4% market share, followed by Thor (30.7%) and Winnebago with 20.1% of the U.S. market.
