The overall U.S. motorized market posted a 15.9% year-over-year decline for the first four months of 2019 as both Class A and Class C markets reported double-digit retail sales declines.

According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader during the period with a 40.5% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. (22.3%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (12.7%).

Class A motorhome sales were down 13.4% through April as Thor led the segment with a 33.2% market share. Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. held the No. 2 spot with a 16% share of the market followed by Forest River Inc. (15%).

Class C sales incurred a 17.7% decrease for the four months with Thor leading the category, holding a 45.7% market share, followed by Forest River (27.5%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (14%).
