The overall U.S. motorized market retreated 19.3% year-over-year for the first two months of 2019 as both Class A and Class C markets reported double-digit retail sales declines.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader through February with a 38.4% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. (22.7%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (11.8%).
Class A motorhome sales were down 11.2% for the two months as Thor topped the segment with a 32.6% market share. REV Recreation Group held the No. 2 spot with a 15.2% share of the market followed by Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (15%) and Forest River Inc. (14.8%).
Class C sales incurred a 25.4% decline through February with Thor leading the category holding a 43.7% market share, followed by Forest River Inc. (29.9%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (12.2%).
