June motorhome retail registrations ticked up 3.3% compared to the same period a year ago while sales for the first six months grew 8.6%.

According to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader through June with a 26.4% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. (26%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (17.5%).

Sales in the Class A motorhome market showed no change from the previous year, while the sector posted a 3.8% for the six months. Thor led the segment with a 26.1% market share followed by Forest River (15.8%), REV Recreation Group (14.7%) and Winnebago (14.3%). Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. was No. 5, capturing 13.3% of the market.

Class C registrations gained 6.5% in June, lifted by rental sales, and were up 13.4% for the six months. Forest River was the sales leader year-to-date with a 35.4% market share, followed by Thor (26.7%), Winnebago (20.4%) and Jayco Inc. (12.1%).
