November motorhome retail registrations grew 14.2% compared to the same period a year ago while sales increased 15.1% year-to-date, according to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).

Forest River Inc. was the sales leader for the first 11 months with a 25% market share, edging out No. 2 Thor Industries Inc. which captured a 24.2% share. Winnebago Industries Inc. was third with a 20.9% share.

The Class A motorhome market posted a 12.5% gain in November and a year-to-date increase of 13.6% compared to the previous year. Thor led the sector with a 22.9% market share followed by Winnebago (20.2%), Forest River (15.6%) and Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (15%).

Class C registrations saw a 16.7% rise in November, boosted by the rental market, while year-to-date sales were up 17%. Forest River was the segment leader for the 11 months with a 35.8% market share, followed by Thor with a 25.7% share, and Winnebago with 21.7% of the U.S. market.
