NEW-logoOmega RV announced that work has begun on an additional 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space with an additional 5,000 square feet of office space at its plant in Caldwell, Idaho.

“Our demand for product far exceeds our current plant capacity,” Scott Thorpe, vice president of sale and marketing, said in a press release. “The launch of the Road Ranger product line on both the retail and wholesale sides of the business has far exceeded expectations.”

The company reported that it also plans to launch a toy hauler in the Road Ranger line. “With a new toy hauler product being introduced this month we needed to make the move now,” stated General Manager Don Day .

The additional facility should be operational in 60 days which will allow production to grow to over 2,000 units annually. The company recently launched a new website OmegaRV.com and is now looking at dealer expansion in the coming months.

“We will have all our products on display this October at the RVIA Show in Pomona,” said Day.

In November, 2014, Omega RV purchased the intellectual properties of the former KIT production plant, which produced recreational vehicles for more than 67 years before closing, along with all equipment and materials. Its key management team, as well as skilled staff and production employees , were drawn from KIT, Extreme RV and Extreme Warrior.
