Motorhome sales endured another double-digit decline in June as the retail market was down 13.6% from a year ago, according to Statistical Surveys Inc.
Data from the Grand Rapids, Mich., independent marketing firm showed that overall retail registrations dropped to 5,235 units compared with 6,057 last year. For the first half of 2006, motorhome sales decreased 13.5% to 27,493 units from 31,784.
The Class A retail market sagged 13% in June, dropping to 3,092 units sold from 3,556 in 2005. For the first six months, Class A sales were down 17.2% to 16,958 units from 20,492.
June Class C retail sales also retreated, down 14.3% with 2,143 units sold compared with 2,501 last year. Year-to-date, Class C registrations fell 6.7 % from a year ago with 10,535 units sold versus 11,292.
