The Nasdaq composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged Friday as investors continued worrying about the impact of the slowing economy on corporate profits.

The Nasdaq fell 91 points, or 3.6%, and the Dow slid 99 points, or 0.9%, lower on Friday.

Meanwhile, RV company stocks were mixed.

Among those closing lower was Coachmen, which reported a fourth quarter loss and a marginal profit for the full year 2000. Coachmen stock declined 50 cents, or 4.5%, to close at $10.70.

Meanwhile, Thor, which may report its earnings for the November-through-January period as early as next week, declined 70 cents, or 2.8%, to close at $24.75.

And Fleetwood, which announced Thursday that it will close three RV plants due to slow sales, slipped 30 cents, or 2.2%, on Friday to close at $13.40.
