The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq composite continued on the rebound Friday, with the Nasdaq closing 5% higher for the week.

On Friday, the Dow gained 84 points, or 0.8%, and the Nasdaq climbed 64 points, or 1.9%, as investors bought beaten-down tech stocks that now appear to be bargains.

In the RV sector, most stocks were marginally higher or unchanged. Two exceptions were Coachmen and Starcraft.

Coachmen, despite completing the acquisition of a modular buildings company, lost 3/16 to close at 8 1/8, tying its 52-week low.

Meanwhile, Starcraft lost 7/16, or 20% of its value, to close at 1 3/4, despite announcing that its joint venture partner was awarded a contract to supply optional accessories to the Hummer sport utility vehicle beginning with the 2002 model year.
