The stock market tumbled again on Wednesday, particularly the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which lost 317 points, 3.1%.

The Nasdaq composite also fell 43 points, or 2.1%, on Wednesday.

The indexes fell because investors are becoming more worried that a slowing global economy will take a bigger-than-expected bite out of corporate profits.
