Bargain-hunting occurred on the stock market as it did in the shopping malls on Friday, traditionally the busiest day of the year for retailers.

Investors in RV company stocks also benefitted as almost all RV company shares gained value on Friday.

The Nasdaq composite surged 149 points, or 5.4%, Friday as investors gobbled-up tech issues.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average also climbed 71 points, or 0.7%.

Retail chain Holiday RV Superstores, which does business as Recreation USA, was the RV industry firm that gained the most Friday. Its stock climbed 7/16, or 11%, to close at 4 3/8.
