Construction is underway on an upscale recreational vehicle storage center near Tuscon, Ariz., offering such amenities as concierge service, according to a report in the Arizona Daily Star.
Developers for National RV Central are targeting high-end RV owners with the 115,000-square-foot, climate controlled indoor storage facility.
The center will offer a variety of services, including valet parking, automatic wash facility, RV detailing, septic system flushout and a separate building for general maintenance.
Developers are investing around $3.1 million in the project hoping to capitalize on Tucson’s location as a liftoff point for many destinations, according to Bob Schoff, a managing partner in the business.
“This is a new idea,” he said, adding, “It’s a lot of money to put in one place as a test.”
Several factors have delayed construction of the center, which will sit on seven acres in a 26-acre light industrial business park, but developers are hoping to open the business by the end of the year.
