International distribution of the SylvanSport GO and GO Easy trailers continues to grow, the company reported in a press release. Following a successful first year of European partnership with U.K.-based Valke Outdoor in Somerset, the company announced a partnership in Latin America.
Established in 2006 and with extensive experience in the outdoor leisure market, Valke supplies outdoor products that enhance and complement adventure pursuits. Valke is the exclusive U.K. importer and distributor of the SylvanSport line of adventure camping trailers, including their flagship product – the GO.
SylvanSport’s expansion into Latin America is being handled by Motion in Lima, Peru. Motion is a specialty retailer and importer, carrying innovative brands such as Specialized Bicycles, Segway and Yike Bike and represents the fourth international dealership for SylvanSport, alongside Paddletravel (Canada), Valke Outdoors (England), and SylvanSport Europe (Germany).
The SylvanSport GO’s appeal in the international market is that the camper doesn’t require a large tow vehicle, as does a typical RV-style travel trailer. Outside of North America and Europe, there are fewer developed campgrounds that include RV-style infrastructure.
Weighing in at 840 pounds with a 70-pound tongue weight, the SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer and ‘GO Easy’ Adventure Trailer (275 pounds/30-pound tongue weight) can easily be towed by compact vehicles with a four-cylinder engine using a standard two-inch hitch.
“International destinations for the SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer and the ‘GO Easy’ Adventure Trailer are perfect for the globally-designed products,” said Tom Dempsey, SylvanSport’s president and design director.
