John Sztykiel and his father, George, invested significant amounts of their own money in Spartan Motor Inc. stock after the company’s stock fell below $2 a share late last year, according to the insiderSCORES.com news service.
John Sztykiel, Spartan’s president and COO, bought 19,400 shares last Dec. 29 for $1.44 to $1.50 a share, insiderSCORES.com reports.
Meanwhile, George Sztykiel, the company’s president and CEO, bought 10,000 shares last Dec. 22 for $1.88 a share.
Spartan Motors stock has fallen to as low as $1.12 a share within the past 52 weeks. The company’s stock closed at $3.40 a share on Friday (May 25).
George Sztykiel owned 730,695 shares of Spartan Motors stock, or 6.9% of the company’s 10.5 million outstanding shares, as of April 16, according to Spartan Motors’ proxy statement.
John Sztykiel owned 369,596 shares, of 3.5% of Spartan Motors’ outstanding stock, as of April 16.
