The 19th Annual Florida RV Super Show, which opens today (Jan. 13) with an industry-only day, has set records for manufacturer’s display space and supplier booth space allocations, said Lance Wilson, executive director of the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), sponsor of the event.
This year’s show, which opens to retail buyers on Wednesday (Jan. 14) and continues through Sunday (Jan. 18), covers 15 acres and uses every building on the Florida State Fairgrounds, located east of downtown Tampa.
Over 120 RV manufacturers will display units and 250 suppliers have booths, according to the FRVTA.
Consumer attendance at the “Tampa Super Show” can depend on factors outside the FRVTA’s control such as the weather and whether Tampa’s National Football League team is in the playoffs (this year it is not).
But the FRVTA has lined-up a variety of free entertainment and RV lifestyle seminars with the goal of maximizing attendance during the retail days.
This year’s theme — “These are Not Your Father’s RVs — emphasizing the luxury features, stylish looks and high-tech gadgets in today’s RVs also is expected to encourage a big turnout both from Tampa area year-round residents and snowbirds visiting Florida for the winter.
