The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) reports that a record 853,000 square feet of display space has been assigned for its 2007 Florida RV SuperShow, slated for Jan. 16 to 21 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
The addition of large display areas for Monaco Coach Corp. and Forest River Inc. helped boost totals during the recently held manufacturers’ space drawing, association spokesmen stated. “This was the first year we kept the map up-to-date on-line which helped manufacturer’s see which spaces had already been selected,” said Lesa Colvin, show director. “This also kept the drawing moving along with most of the drawing taking place in two days.”
Industry day at 2007 Florida RV SuperShow will be Jan. 16, association spokesmen reported on the doorstep of FRVTA’s 2006 State Convention, set to kick off tomorrow (Sept. 7) and run through Sunday (Sept. 10) at the 454-room Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs.
Along with presentations from national association heads, this year’s state conventioneers are expecting to attend seminars and receive updates from FRVTA Distance Learning Director Jim Carr and FRVTA Legislative Consultant Marc Dunbar. They also will have a chance to contribute to the state trade group’s PAC fund and to regress to the 1960’s at the Florida trade group’s annual party, this year’s version of which is themed for the Woodstock generation and calls for fitting hip-generation attire.
