TAXA Outdoors, a manufacturer of lightweight, recreational campers and trailers for the off-grid, will be offering the Truma Combi heating system exclusively on its new 2017 Cricket line.
“When we started looking for a heating solution for our campers, we knew we needed something out of this world,” said Garrett Finney, TAXA founder and former NASA architect, in a press release. “We wanted to keep the weight low, and our customer is focused on being off the grid, so efficiency and reliability are key for us, not to mention technology. Space in a 15-foot trailer is limited, and the Combi was the only choice for us on the Cricket.”
Mark Howlett, vice president business development with Truma, noted, “The Cricket and the Combi are a perfect melding of NASA inspired design and the latest in RV technology. The Truma Combi allows TAXA to provide their customers the full experience of adventure camping, without the interruption of a noisy furnace and water heater spoiling the sounds of nature.”
The Truma Combi was released for North America in January 2015 and offers both propane and electric heating of water and air.
