The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) Nominating Committee has selected 10 candidates who will vie for six seats on the board of directors during elections taking place in August.
Those running include Brad Albrechtsen, National RV Inc., and Bob Tiffin, Tiffin Motor Homes Inc., for a motorhome seat; Jeff Miller, Carriage Inc., and Dick Parks, Newmar Corp., for a towable seat; and Mark Warmoth, Weekend Warrior Trailers Inc., and John Willibrand, Play-Mor Trailers Inc., for an at-large seat.
Members will also elect three of the following for an at-large seat: Gary Enyart, Onan; Mike Harris, Thetford; Jason Lippert, Lippert Components Inc.; and Jeff Rutherford, Carefree of  Colorado.
“It’s quite gratifying to see the interest our elections generate,” said Doug Gaeddert, general manager of Forest River Inc. and chairman of RVIA’s Nominating Committee.  “We have a great slate of candidates this year. The association and the RV industry as a whole will benefit from the leadership of those elected.”
According to RVIA, the board has the highest level of authority in the association’s organizational structure and is responsible for association affairs on a broad policy basis.
The election is conducted by mail ballot with each RVIA manufacturer and supplier member afforded a single vote. RVIA will mail a pre-ballot introduction of candidates in July with the official ballot scheduled to be mailed on Aug. 3.  In order to be counted, ballots must be returned to RVIA by the deadline date of Aug. 25, 2006.
In addition to Gaeddert, RVIA’s Nominating Committee also includes Chris Braun, senior vice president of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc.; Carl Pfalzgraf, executive vice president of Atwood Mobile Products; and Dale Zimmerman, executive vice president of production and owner of Sunline Coach Co.
