Knoxville-based Tennessee RV Sales & Service LLC announced the buyout of Charlie Anderson’s ownership interest in the Tennessee RV dealership by his long-time business partner, Roger Sellers.
As part of the buyout arrangement, Anderson has been retained as a consultant for the business. “I’m looking forward to spending more valuable time with my wife Gale and my family, yet filling in as an active consultant when needed,” stated Anderson in a press release.
“I am much honored to have had Charlie as my business partner for over 10 years now. With me, he worked diligently to help build one of the largest and more successful RV dealerships in Tennessee,” said Sellers. Our team is very excited about the future of our dealership and the direction we are headed in,” added Sellers. “We have plans already in effect for considerable growth.”
Sellers is a 34-year veteran of the RV retail sector having served in several management positions for Foretravel RV before progressing to general manager and then leaving to start Tennessee RV with Anderson in 2004. He also serves as the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) delegate for the state of Tennessee.
The dealership was named by RV Business Magazine as a “Top 50 Dealer” and is also a member of Priority RV Network, one of largest RV dealer cooperatives in the US.
Tennessee RV currently is located near the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the east side of Knoxville. The dealership was moved to this 13-acre location seven years ago to add 16 service bays and an 8,000-square-foot retail parts store within a 46,000-square-foot facility. Tennessee RV also operates a 24,000-squaer-foot RV body shop with 10 service bays nearby in Kodak, Tenn., in addition to the main dealership location in Knoxville.
