Tents for Troops (T4T), the Castle Rock, Wash.-based charity that coordinates free campsites for active-duty military members and their families, said that it will be taking part in the Northeast Conference on Camping this week at the Radisson Hotel Nashua in Nashua, N.H.
“Cyndy Zbierski, executive director of the Northeast Campground Association, has been a huge supporter of Tents for Troops from nearly day one and has gone out of her way many times to help the program move forward and this year is no exception,” said Charlie Curry, T4T founder, in an announcement. “Cyndy has offered Tents for Troops one of the very best booths in the venue for the 2017 Northeast Conference on Camping March 16-18 and we are excited to be attending with hopes of meeting as many of the 1,035 members as we possibly can.”
T4T asks RV parks and campgrounds to donate a minimum of two sites for two nights to active-duty military and their families free of charge, providing that the parks have vacant sites available. “We never ask a park to donate sites they otherwise could have rented and parks may block out holiday weekends if they choose to do so,” Curry explained. “It doesn’t cost a dime but it will make you feel like a million bucks. Donald and Tracy will be able to assist you in signing up on the spot. It very well may will be the best thing you do all year and its a cool way for us as an Industry to say thanks to those who have our backs.
“T4T is a pay-it-forward program that could not operate without people like Cyndy Zbierski and the Lemasters,” Curry continued, “and we sincerely appreciate all that they do so very much.”
