Doo-wop and R&B pioneers The Drifters will entertain the RV industry crowd Dec. 2 at “Outlook 2009: We’ve Got Heart!” The breakfast event will kick off RVIA’s 46th Annual National RV Trade Show that will include a roster of guest speakers along with industry officials outlining the challenges facing the industry.
The Drifters’ legendary recordings include Under The Boardwalk and On Broadway. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and are among Rolling Stone’s top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
Hosted by RVIA Chairman Jim Sheldon, Outlook 2009 will feature presentations by Washington Times Deputy Editorial Page Editor Tara Wall and Colombian-American couple Gary and Valerie Berman, who have spent 20 years studying the Hispanic market in the United States.
Other presentations include:
• RVIA President Richard Coon will offer insights on the industry and where it is headed.
• Go RVing Coalition co-chairmen Don Walter of Starcraft RV Inc. and Tom Stinnett of Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center will be joined by RVIA Chief Marketing Officer Gary LaBella to examine how the national advertising campaign is positioning the industry to grow as the economy improves.
• RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson and LaBella will highlight the year’s publicity successes and strategies for continued growth.
