Jack Tierney has been promoted to president and CEO of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Thetford Corp., which includes its subsidiary Norcold Inc. and its European operations, Thetford b.v.
Tierney will succeed Michael J. Harris, who is being elevated to president and COO of Thetford’s parent company, Dyson-Kissner-Moran (DKM) Corp. of New York.
The management announcements came in mid-September and are effective Feb. 1.
Tierney joined Thetford from DKM in 2000 as CFO. He was promoted to senior vice president, North American Operations, in 2002, gaining responsibility for all of Thetford and Norcold’s business interests.
Earlier this year Tierney was promoted to COO of North America, overseeing Thetford and Norcold’s sales and marketing, and engineering departments.
Harris joined Thetford as senior vice president, North American Operations, in 2001 and assumed the role of president and CEO in early 2002.
In August, Harris, who is active in industry affairs, gained re-election to a second term on the RVIA Board of Directors.
