Thor Industries Inc., in continued partnership with KOA Care Camps, is helping “bring the joy of adventure and exploration to local children affected by cancer,” according to a press release.

On June 12, Thor and Keystone RV Co. employees and managers will travel to Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do near Fort Wayne, Ind., to facilitate hands-on experiences with outdoor adventuring for the campers. Outdoor recreational activities, such as camping, provide a retreat from the frequent hospital visits and doctor appointments.

“Thor Industries has again stepped up to support and donate to KOA Care Camps in its mission to show the ‘Healing Nature of Camping,” said Wade Elliott, KOA Care Camps chairman.

“Outdoor adventures have the impact to foster friendship, support and connection,” said Rick Schutt, Thor director of community engagement. “We are grateful to partner with KOA Care Camps to support their mission to provide opportunities and support for children living with cancer.”

Thor Industries and four of its subsidiaries, Airstream Inc., Keystone RV, Thor Motor Coach, and Jayco Inc., will partner with multiple camps supported by KOA Care Camps throughout 2018.
