The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVDA) announced that Thor Industries Inc. is a Silver Partner for the 2015 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo, Nov. 2 -6 at Bally’s in Las Vegas. According to a press release, the convention is sponsored by RVDA, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
As part of its 2015 partnership agreement, Thor will once again support the centrally located dealer lounge complete with comfortable seating and other amenities for convention attendees. For 2015, the lounge area will offer an expanded area for dealers to gather, with more seating and places to work or take a break.
“Our Silver Partner Thor Industries is back again, supporting our education efforts and adding an extra dimension through their support of the dealer lounge, giving our members a place to relax, network, and plan their days,” said RVDA Convention/Expo Committee Chairman Ron Shepherd of Camperland of Oklahoma. “Our members continue to be grateful to this generous industry partner that shares our commitment to an educated workforce.”
“At Thor, we highly value our relationships with our dealers and gladly support RVDA and its efforts to educate and provide important networking opportunities to strengthen the dealer community,” commented Bob Martin, president and CEO of Elkhart, Ind.-based Thor. “We also recognize the importance of continuing education and its impact on consumers’ RV experience. These kinds of partnerships are becoming increasingly important to the long-term success of the RV industry and we are pleased to offer our support.”
The convention theme is Passport to Excellence: Education & Training. Dealer members who register by June 30 pay only $599 to attend and lock in the early bird rate of $549 for the rest of their staff — even those who register at later dates.
The week starts with Vendor Training +Plus on Monday and Tuesday and includes a general session, educational and networking programs for Young Executives, and track workshops designed to address the leading issues facing every department in the dealership. In addition, the Society of Certified RV Professionals will head into its second year with an event featuring recognitions, an education component, and networking opportunities.
Track workshops, condensed into shorter timeframes are being developed to respond to dealer demand for fast-paced, on target, and engaging presentations. In its planning, the convention committee focuses on dynamic presentations of the most current topics and strives to bring new presenters to the convention.
Beyond educational and networking opportunities, the convention offers a sought after location at the center of the Vegas strip at the iconic Bally’s hotel. Guest rooms at the convention rate are available at Bally’s and Paris.
The 2015 convention will also feature two exhibit halls filled with the RV industry’s top companies offering products and services to help dealers improve profitability.
