New 2020 RUV motorhomes by Thor Motor Coach (TMC) are arriving on dealer lots, including the Compass and Gemini, built on a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter diesel chassis, that launched in 2014. According to a press release, the lineup also features the Axis and Vegas built on a Ford E-series

TMC’s RUVs all feature Euro-styled decors and smaller body frames ranging from 23 feet, 6-inches up to 28-feet, 6-inches. Above the cockpit, the  RUVs offer a power drop-down overhead bunk that lowers with the touch of a button. In the kitchen, the flip-up countertop provides extra space while cooking, and in the bedroom, there is cushioned seating underneath the flip-up bed frame. The compact size of the Compass and Gemini allow the vehicles to be parked in tight spaces.

This year, the Rapid Camp+ wiring control system receives an upgrade and features both digital and analog controls. Rapid Camp+ is app-enabled, and can operate your lights, expand slideouts, and check battery levels from a phone or tablet. RUVs also feature LED lighting and are solar prepped.

In addition, Thor Motor Coach has developed a web-based portal, the “Owners Resource.” This portal gives owners access to important information on their motorhome, including factory-installed components and equipment and owner’s manuals. Along with the “Owners Resource,” the new Thor Motor Coach also tracks RV service and maintenance to trip planning.
