Thor Industries Inc. announced today (Sept. 23) that it has received 13,000 towable orders so far this month, totaling over $210 million.
According toa press release, total towable orders received during September 2004 were $83 million.
The Jackon Center, Ohio-based company, parent to several of the industry’s leading towable manufacturers, said many of the orders were from dealerships supplying product for Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
Thor emphasized that builders were also meeting the demand from the majority of its dealers not impacted by the hurricane.
In morning trading, shares of Thor’s stock jumped almost 7% following the announcement.
