Thor Industries, Inc. announced today (Dec. 7) that it established a new record with approximately $247 million in orders at the 42nd Annual National RV Trade Show, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Louisville, Ky.
According to the Jackson Center, Ohio-based company, the total represented a 9% increase over last year’s record of $227 million.
Thor also reported an increase in its North American distribution network with the addition of 275 dealers during the show.
For November, Thor’s reported retail sales were 4,899 units, up 31% from last year.
“These strong retail sales, the record order input from the show, and record company order backlog of $344 million on Oct. 31, 2004 bodes well for a continuing strong fiscal 2005,” said Wade F. B. Thompson, Thor Chairman.
Thor noted that results from recently acquired CrossRoads RV, Topeka, Ind., were included in numbers for both years.
