Thor Industries Inc. reports its RV retail sales increased during both February and March and that it will deliver $17 million-worth of Class C motorhomes to rental firm Cruise America Inc. in the coming months.
Thor’s consumer warranty registrations increased 17% in February and 15% in March, according to the company, whose RV-building subsidiaries include Dutchman Manufacturing and Keystone RV.
Meanwhile, Thor’s Four Winds International subsidiary in Elkhart, Ind., will deliver 375 Class C’s to Cruise America primarily in May and June.
Cruise America recently reported that RV rental reservations went into a steep decline the last few weeks, but the company is confident large numbers of Americans will make reservations closer to the time when they actually go on their summer vacations.
Additionally, Thor, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, reported it was selected by Business Week magazine as one of the best-performing companies on the Standard and Poor’s Small Cap 600 Index based upon its market performance over one-year and three-year intervals.
