Thor Industries Inc. stock climbed above $67 a share for a time today (May 22) after reporting record high earnings for its third fiscal quarter, which ended April 30.
Thor stock gained $3.51 a share today, or 5.5%, to close at $66.98 in New York Stock Exchange trading.
Earlier in today’s session, Thor stock climbed as high as $67.30 a share, shattering its previous 52-week high of $64.40, which was established Monday (May 20).
Thor’s gains occurred on a day when most RV company stocks closed lower.
Another stock posting a significant gain today was that of towable RV and manufactured home builder Kit Manufacturing Co. Kit shares gained 85 cents, or 26%, in American Stock Exchange trading today to close at $4.10, a new 52-week high.
Kit’s previous 52-week high was $3.95 a share.
On Tuesday (May 21), Kit announced it had hired an investment banking company to explore several strategic alternatives, including finding a merger partner or a possible sale of the company.
