Adventure Manufacturing Inc., dba Timberland RV Co., began production in July of an entry-level RPM sport utility towable series positioned to appeal to people participating in offroad sports. “The SURV that everyone has tried to build is a regular travel trailer with a garage, oak interior and other residential features,” said Kean MacOwan, vice president of the Peru, Ind., manufacturer. “That’s not what the person buying the RPM is looking for. This is for the guy who takes his toys outside and plays with them.” With a bold gray, black and red decor, linen walls, angled galleys and diamond plate interior accents, the wood-framed, aluminum skin RPM features three travel trailer floorplans in lengths of 19 to 23 feet plus a 29-foot fifth wheel. The open floorplans sport garage areas measuring between 12 and 20 feet in length. While the RPM retails for between $20,000 to $24,000, an upgraded RPM XL will be available in alternate floorplans by the end of the year with an aluminum superstructure and laminated fiberglass sidewalls.
