Timberland RV Inc., a manufacturer of 25- to 33-foot entry level travel trailers, recently celebrated its first anniversary with an employee picnic at its 17-acre facility near Peru, Ind.

During the gathering, President Mark Gerber said he is satisfied with Timberland’s progress over the past year and, specifically, with the effort of the company’s 132 employees.

“We’re very pleased, particularly if you look at what’s happened in the marketplace since the first of the year,” reported Gerber, a former Fleetwood executive. “We’re at 62 dealers. We’ve shipped out over 800 trailers. We have over 300 retails. We’ve got a good, stable, trained workforce. Our warranty costs are very low, and our dealers are happy.”

Next comes an expansion into fifth-wheels by this November’s Louisville Show and a building project that will, by spring, increase Timberland’s production space from 40,000 to 122,000 square feet.
