The Tom Raper RV and manufactured home dealership in Richmond, Ind., is adding the Sundowner line of aluminum horse trailers to its inventory, according to the Richmond Pladium-Item.
The dealership planned to put up a new building and owner Dave Bane was considering hiring 10 more employees, the newspaper reported.
Bane reached and agreement to handle the Sundowner line after a dealership in Martinsville, Ind., which had some units in its inventory, decided to concentrate on auto sales.
Tom Raperp purchased the Martinsville dealer’s Sundowner inventory and assumed responsibility for its territory.
A new sales and service center will be built to make room for horse trailers. It will be located across the street from the RV sales department. The building will be about 4,640 square feet and will resemble an old horse barn to compliment the Sundowner line.
Construction was scheduled to begin last week.
