In response to customer requests, Grand Design RV Co. expanded its Solitude luxury fifth-wheel line with a floorplan offering two bedrooms versus a bunkhouse area. Jordan Struble, West Coast regional sales manager for Grand Design RV Co., noted, “We’re finding that a lot of customers want that extra sleeping area but don’t want a bunkhouse.” Grand Design adapted its most popular toy-hauler floorplan, the 350M, into a 41 ½-foot Solitude. “Then we added a second bedroom in the back rather than a garage,” Struble noted. “The nice thing there is that it incorporates a half-bath.” And, like the main cabin, the rear bedroom — segmented from the rest of the coach by a door — includes a fireplace. The 366DEN also features three TVs, heated theater seats, island kitchen, 18-cubic-foot refrigerator, a pull-out ottoman in the forward master suite and an outside kitchen with induction cooktop. “That’s great when there are kids around, because they won’t get burned if they brush against it.” MSRP will be in the upper $80,000s.
