Top speakers will be presenting a host of relevant dealership topics during the Dealer/GM track of the 2015 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo.
According to a press release, the convention takes place in Las Vegas, Nov. 2-6, and includes Vendor Training +Plus on Monday and Tuesday, an opening general session featuring best-selling business author Scott McKain, and track education workshops on Wednesday and Thursday. The event concludes Friday morning with important compliance education.

Dealer/GM track workshops are focused on ways to become a better leader, increase profitability, and managing business and people better. McKain will kick things off at the Opening General Session by sharing strategies for helping businesses stand out from the rest.
David Foco from A World of Training will present “Eliminating that Demarcation Line between Your Departments,” on Nov. 4, from 9-10 a.m. He will help dealers and general managers learn how to get their businesses to operate as “one continent” instead of “multiple islands.”
After a break for the annual meetings of the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and RVDA of Canada and lunch in the Expo, Nancy Friedman will present “7 Traits of a Successful Leader,” from 2-3 p.m. Friedman will share how to handle growth and change with grace, and uncovers the strategies behind the key traits she will identify.
From 3:15 p.m.–4:15 p.m. on Nov. 4, dealer/GMs will have the opportunity to learn “Best Practices in Hiring and Retaining Talent in RV Retail,” from Maryellen Adams of the Employment Network. She will share best practices for helping close the applicant deal and building a workforce full of talented professionals who can drive a business forward.
Also from 3:15 p.m.–4:15 p.m., Chuck Marzahn of Marzahn and King will present “Overcoming Profit Pitfalls in Every Department in the Dealership.” Marzahn suggests the session is particularly appropriate for young RV executives. He will offer a refreshing approach to understanding what really drives profit and what constrains it in each department.
On Thursday, Ricardo Roman of Caliper will lead off the morning with a workshop on “Job Analysis: Key to Determining the Hiring and Development Criteria for Top Sales Performance.” He will walk the audience through the analysis for developing the criteria they will be able to use to enhance job descriptions, objectively evaluate candidates, and create a targeted on-boarding process.
After lunch in the Expo, the track picks up with a workshop called “Displaying Dynamic Leadership in Your Dealership: How to Succeed in Business – Just Count the Ways,” from 2-3 p.m. Presented by Doug Dvorak of the Dvorak Marketing Group, the workshop will explain how to unleash the power of a company’s human capital to achieve sustainable long-term growth.
Next, from 3:15 p.m.–-4:15 p.m., Christine Corelli will present a workshop called “Aligning Your Team for Results.” Corelli, of Christine Corelli & Associates, is frequently featured as a keynote speaker, but in this much smaller setting dealers and GMs will get to experience her dynamic and entertaining delivery as she explains how to apply teamwork lessons from the world of sports to establish a true team culture in a business.
The day will wrap up with an important workshop on leadership entitled, “Follow Me, I’m Right Behind You! How to Lead & Influence Others,” presented by Jody Urquhart from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Urquhart, a motivational speaker, will use humor, insight and inspiration to provide a lively, interactive look at ways to inspire a spirited and resilient workforce that stays focused and productive.
The deadline for Early Bird discounts for registration is June 30. Member dealerships registering one person by that date get a rate of $599 for their first registrant and lock in a rate of $549 for the rest of their registrants.
