The powerful storm that hit near Atlantic, Iowa, left significant damage behind.

KETV Omaha reported that the lot at AC Nelson’s RV World has a little over 75 recreational vehicles but after Friday’s storm, over half of them were left upside down or smashed into other RVs. Some were completely destroyed.

Terry Moore, a sales consultant at AC Nelson’s, says he saw the tornado headed toward the lot 30 minutes before he left for shelter.

“There’s a lot of aluminum and pieces that can go flying and it’s not a safe place to be unless you have a storm shelter. We don’t have one of those out here. We saw the tornado peeking its head up and as soon as we seen that we headed to our vehicles. We said we have to get out of here,” Moore said.

When he returned to the lot he says it “looked like World War III.”
