The Ontario Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (ORVDA) today (Jan. 26) announced a significant increase in consumer attendance and retail unit sales during the Jan. 19-22 Toronto RV Show at the Toronto Congress Centre.
“Following the success of the 2016 Toronto Fall RV Show, we identified that executing a similar strategic digital and social media marketing campaign was critical for us to achieve optimal results during the Toronto RV Show and Sale,” said Natalie Conway, ORVDA manager, in a press release. “Enhanced media exposure, social media engagement opportunities and our partnerships with Go RVing Canada and Ryan Holtz Marketing Consulting & Training resulted in a 16% increase in attendance and a 25% increase in retail unit sales – the highest growth in product sales since 2008.”
Exhibitor satisfaction rates also increased exponentially, according to exhibitors. Rob Sneyd of Ruston RV Centre noted, “The Toronto Congress show was an overwhelming success and we have already surpassed record sales in January. We have seen continued traffic and sales after the show. Sales momentum is critical to our business early in the season and I am very optimistic for 2017.”
The 2017 ORVDA show season continues with the Feb. 3-5 Hamilton RV Show and Sale followed by the Feb. 9-12 Ottawa RV Expo and Sale and the Kitchener RV Show and Sale running March 24-26.
ORVDA is a nonprofit organization advocating on behalf of its 180 dealer and associate members. Revenues from the show help to support the association’s efforts to promote and support the RV lifestyle through education, lobbying, RV shows and leadership.
