Tourism Holdings and its joint venture partner TH2 have merged their CamperMate and Roadtrippers Australasia digital app businesses with outdoor tourism marketplaces – GoSeeAustralia and Outdoria.

The other half of the TH2, which is owned by United States-based Thor Industries, will take a 35 percent stake in the four digital businesses, with the balance held by Discovery Holiday Parks, interests associated with Gerry Ryan – who is the founder and managing director of Jayco Australia – and Marketplacer.

The merged business will operate under the Outdoria brand and will be Australasia’s largest dedicated digital marketplace for outdoor tourism.

It will offer a range of online products for customers including research, planning and bookings for camping or self-drive holidays, as well as be a one-stop shop for rentals or purchases of items such as campervans and surfboards.

Tourism Holdings chief executive Grant Watson said no monies changed hands in the merger deal – it was paid for with an exchange of intellectual property.
