TradeWinds RV Center will hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony on May 13 to mark the grand opening of its newly renovated and expanded dealership facility.
According to a press release, TradeWinds RV Center was founded in the mid-1970s near Clio, Mich., at a small lot on Hwy. 54 just south of Auto City Speedway. Current owner and company president Tom Selvius purchased the business from founder Diane Jordan in the fall of 2010.
In 2012, the dealership moved to its current facility, a former Ford dealership, on Vienna Road just east of I-75 in Clio.
“We’ve grown a lot since the ‘good old days’ at the original location,” said Selvius. “Construction on our state-of-the-art facility expansion began in late summer 2018. TradeWinds RV now features an all-new 10-bay service center, expanded parts department and huge indoor showroom.
“A complete makeover of the sales and administrative offices finished up in April,” he added. “Improvements to our outdoor display include a new digital sign and a large paved sales lot to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and to allow a larger selection of RVs to be displayed.”
The ribbon cutting will kick off a week-long grand opening event that runs through May 18.
